*.bin books are polyglot books . Some engines ( for example Toga II ) can also use it directly . For other UCI engines you can use it with the help of Polyglot adaptor ( both in a Winboard GUI like Winboard and a UCI gui like Fritz or Arena ) .

Sorry Vaksal . My knowledge of opening books is very limited . I generally use opening suites or generic books . Maybe aldenh1 can help you if he notices this thread . Or you can send him a PM . rubinus ( Pavel Hase ) is a very good polyglot book maker . You can send a PM to him too .

edit polyglot books? that's not possible i guess, but you can adjust the weights using scid!
