Hi friends,

today I've worked on a program which has nothing to do with chess: xplorer 2
It's a Windows explorer replacement and should be quite powerful. I've not yet worked much with this program (except making a patch for it ), but maybe some here know (or already use) it.

It says it would be the 'Trial' version, but of course after my 'improvement' it is in fact no trial version anymore:

Just install the program (it automatically installs either the ANSI or the Unicode version depending on your Windows OS), unzip my patch into the xplorer2 folder and run Patch.bat: everything is done automatically, it finds the correct version and also the right language file (if you installed an additional language).

The included Uninst.bat can be used after an usual uninstallation (to remove all traces of xplorer2 from the registry and the Windows folder), or if you want to reset the program back to its default settings.

Well, maybe you'll also find this program interesting ...

Hi protoc (and other Xplorer2-fans)!

Since they are updating Xplorer2 so often I thought it would be more comfortable to create an universal xp2Patch (similar to my CB-Patch) than searching for the right patch-patterns manually for every new update.

So here's this universal Xplorer2 patch:

This one should now also work for future versions.

Before using it restore the original version by running the previous Patch.bat again, then you can delete the old files (Patch.bat, Patcher.exe, Patch1/2.dat) and use this new xp2Patch.exe.

It works for both versions (ANSI and Unicode), and I've made one modification to the previous patches: I've removed one patched byte, so now in the About box it displays a serial number (A-00000000) and the registration date (current date) as usual instead of the string REGISTERED, everything else is the same as for the last versions.

I think it will be better to keep this universal xp2Patch private within our forum here and NOT publish it on any warez site or crack forum, otherwise the program author will certainly quite quickly change his protection method and make this xp2Patch useless.

that's exactly the only personalization I made to "my" version (and was about to tell you)... I like seeing the serial number and the registration date that changes everyday
